Arts Festival at Gainsborough House
A one day festival celebrating art with music, dance, and comedy, filled our home and garden with fun, laughter and culture on Wednesday 15th August.
Artworks produced by our residents were displayed on the walls and to celebrate those wonderful pieces of art we were entertained by Carl Gordon a comedian, singer and actor and Ailsa Gillis a singer and belly dancer. It was a wonderful opportunity to get together and take the time to value what our residents have achieved.
Gainsborough, maybe something to do with its name sake, has always had a strong reputation for being the home of some tremendous artists and we regularly run water colour workshops led by professional artists. Many of our residents attended arts and crafts classes before they moved in, so its always been a priority to keep those interests going, we have some really talented residents and I’m sure you’ll all agree they’ve produced some fabulous artworks.
