Edith Yates 100th birthday weekend at Gainsborough House
The Picasso suite at Gainsborough House was filled with excitement last Saturday 4th March. We celebrated Edith Yates becoming a century old. A birthday card from the Queen, a party and musical entertainment provided by local singer, Sandra Currie made for a fabulous memorable afternoon.
Celebrations continued on Monday 6th with another party and a visit from the mayor of Warrington who bought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers and Jane Rigby sang an array of nostalgic singalong songs. Surrounded by smiles and flowers. Edith thoroughly enjoyed her weekend of celebrations. She might be a century old, but she is certainly enjoys a good party.
