Kitwood House – Update on Build Progress
On schedule and on budget, the build of our 7th home, Kitwood House in Rudheath, Northwich, Cheshire is storming ahead. The building is now water and airtight, the roof is on, the windows are in and we are now on the second fix of the interior. The plasterers have almost finished and we have started decorating. By late April we will be ready for all the soft furnishings to be fitted and all the exciting new features will be installed including: LED skylights that look like glazed atriums, thermal cameras to help control infection, face recognition security, innovative themed areas & audio visual sensory equipment.
Kitwood House is named after Professor Tom Kitwood who developed the concept of person centred care and one that we advocate in all our homes. It will be a centre for excellence in dementia care. The build and its interiors are based on all the learnings gained over the last 10 years in building and running award winning homes.
