Kitwood House’s Annette Rathbone shortlisted for a Great British Care Award
Congratulations to Annette Rathbone, Wellbeing Lead at Kitwood House in Rudheath, Cheshire who has been nominated and shortlisted for the Care Home Activity Organiser Award at this year’s Great British Care Awards.
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards are to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The next steps for Annette will be an interview with the judges on October 8th and attending the awards ceremony black tie dinner at the Kimpton Clock Tower Hotel Manchester on November 9th, where the winners will be presented with their awards.
Annette has made a significant impact to the way that activities are conducted at Kitwood House and across other homes in the L&M Healthcare group. She has raised huge sums of money for residents funds (despite there being no pressure to do so) and has gone above and beyond in delivering outstanding person-centred and meaningful activities that are making a difference to her residents quality of life on a daily basis.
On hearing the news of her being shortlisted, L&M Healthcare’s Managing Director Jeanne Davies said, ‘Annette is an exemplary organiser of activities and we’re so proud of the standard of person centred meaningful activity she is delivering at Kitwood House and the way she is helping other Activities Coordinators to do the same in other homes.’
Everyone at L&M Healthcare wishes Annette good luck for a win on the night, although she’s already a winner in our eyes.
