L&M Healthcare Launch Hero of the Month Award
In these most extraordinary times, it takes extraordinary people to deliver the kind of care needed to keep our residents safe, well and living as normal a life as possible.
Along with the whole nation we clap every Thursday to show our appreciation for NHS front line staff and recently the nation has included care workers. When you think of care workers you quite rightly think of doctors, nurses and carers, but it takes a whole team of people to deliver expert care; maintenance teams, kitchen staff, domestics, administrators, gardeners, hospitality staff, activities coordinators, home managers, deputy home managers, front of house staff, admissions and customer service teams. Every one of these people play a vital part in keeping our homes running.
So today, on International Nurses day, we want to recognise the extraordinary job, our extraordinary staff are doing and we know that amongst them are some true ‘Heroes’.
To recognise them officially, we are launching the L&M Healthcare HERO OF THE MONTH award. Each month, each home will give this award to the member of staff that has done the most extraordinary job, shone out as their hero and our very own ‘Captain Tom’. They will be rewarded with £100 worth of vouchers of their choice, a certificate and we will also be doing a special feature on them on Facebook telling you just what kind of extraordinary hero they are.
To nominate any member of our staff, please email their home manager telling them the name of the staff member you nominate and why. Anyone can nominate a staff member; residents, their families and friends and other staff members who wish to nominate a colleague can do so too.
Nominations must be received by the home manager by the 28th of each month. The staff member that demonstrates extraordinary dedication to their job and stands out as a true hero will be awarded Hero of the month, this will be chosen by their home manager.
