National Care Home Open Day at Gainsborough House
Good care homes do great things all year round but the 17th of June was the National Care Home Open Day, a nationwide event that is run to highlight what homes do in their local communities. At Gainsborough House we love a good party, so we had a summer garden party theme for our open day. We were entertained by The Thelwall Morris Men and Tony’s Popular Tunes and Request Show throughout the afternoon. A running buffet with an assortment of delicious treats for relatives and visitors kept us all well fed. It was a lovely afternoon, and the sun even popped out to say hello a couple of times.
