The world’s biggest coffee morning
It was cakes all round on Friday 25th September, with both homes sharing coffee and cake with residents and visitors in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support .
Gainsborough House managed to raise £54.00 while Cherry Tree House raised £112.00 . Head office based Carol Nelson, ably assist by resident Damian Davey wheeled a trolley full of cakes round all floors so that residents and relatives could partake of a slice.
At the time of writing this news piece, coffee mornings around the country have raised £876,563.33 with more expected to follow. Jolly well done to all those who took time to bake the cakes and, to those who paid to enjoy eating them.
