Kitchen Assistant – Cherry Tree House

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in our established busy nursing home.

This is a full-time permanent position, supporting our Kitchen Manager with the preparation and serving of a range of specialised, individualised diets for our residents. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated kitchen team committed to delivering high-quality meals and excellent service.

Contracted Hours: 38 hours per week

Experience is preferred; however, full training will be provided to the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important part in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, appetising meals that meet their individual dietary requirements. You will work closely with the Kitchen Manager and the wider team to maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation.

We are proud of our strong team culture, and flexibility is essential. When the Kitchen Manager is on annual leave or otherwise absent, all members of the kitchen team are expected to work together, step up where needed, and assist with additional responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and continuity of service for our residents.
