We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join our team at Whittle Hall Care Home. This is an exciting opportunity to support the management team while delivering outstanding care to our residents.

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care throughout the night. You will lead by example, support care staff, and help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality personal and nursing care.
  • Supporting residents living with dementia and other complex care needs.
  • Assisting the management team in maintaining excellent care standards.
  • Supervising and supporting Care Assistants during night shifts.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate care records and ensuring compliance with care plans.
  • Promoting dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing for every resident.

About You

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and passionate about providing exceptional care.

You will have:

  • Experience working in a residential or nursing care home.
  • Experience supporting people living with dementia.
  • A minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and manage your time effectively.
  • A positive attitude and genuine passion for improving the lives of older people.
