How can I apply for a job at L&M Healthcare?

Click on the ‘More Info’ button next to the vacancy you are interested. On the next screen you will be presented with the vacancy information. If you wish to apply, click on the ‘Apply’ button which will launch your email window with the job details already added into the subject. From here supply us with your contact details including relevant qualifications and attached your CV, if you have one, then click send. We will be in touch should we feel you are suitable for the role applied for. Alternatively, you can obtain application forms from your local L&M care home.


How do I prepare for an interview?

Do some research about the role and L&M Healthcare as an organisation. Plan for your interview day carefully, make sure you have plenty of time to get to the home and allow for any traffic or public transport delays. Dress smartly and appropriately for the position and most importantly, be yourself.


How can I contact L&M Healthcare for more information?

Can I apply for a care role without any experience?

Absolutely. We are looking for compassionate individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of residents in our homes. Whatever your previous experience in caring for others and whatever inspired you to apply for the role, we would love to hear about it during the interview process.

We provide a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing support from a buddy or mentor and a wide range of training and development opportunities to help you build a rewarding and successful career in care.


I am looking for flexible working hours, can I still apply?

Yes, we are often looking for full time or part time employees to care for or support residents. We also offer bank contracts, on which you can decide how many hours you are available for each week (subject to availability of shifts). Discuss your hours of work during your interview to find out more information about what the home are looking for and what we can offer.


How soon after an interview will I know if I have been successful?

We aim to update both successful and unsuccessful applicants as soon as possible. For some roles, this may take a little longer due to interviewing multiple candidates. If you have not heard from us within one week, please contact the person who interviewed you for an update.


How soon can I start?

We aim to be able to offer a start date as soon as possible following successful interview. We do need to complete some mandatory checks including an enhanced DBS check, before you can start, due to the nature of working in a care home.


Am I able to volunteer or do work experience with L&M Healthcare?

We are currently accepting volunteers and work experience candidates subject to government advice and local restrictions. For information on volunteering and work experience please see the volunteering page of the website. If you have any questions, you can email recruitment@lmhealthcare.co.uk


What happens if I cannot provide a reference from an employer?

If you are unable to provide a reference from any employers, we will need two professional character references (e.g. from a Teacher, Doctor, Nurse, Coach etc.). A professional character referee is someone you know outside of work who is giving a personal recommendation for you regarding your character and abilities.
