Exercise Therapy

We run a number of exercise based therapeutic programmes such as Zumba, Armchair Pilates, and Sports. Sessions run either weekly or fortnightly across all our homes.

Sports are especially popular amongst our gentlemen residents and delivered by professional Sports Coaches. They provide the opportunity for people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to enjoy, learn, and develop through sports such as, rugby, netball, hockey, cricket and tennis.  This activity is open to all, no matter what their cognitive capacity.

The sessions are fun, but are carefully designed to deliver real learning outcomes. Whether it’s improving hand-eye coordination, building teamwork, or mastering a passing technique, participants are gaining skills without even realising they’re being coached.

Programmes are structured around clear learning outcomes, ensuring that every participant—regardless of ability—can experience growth, achievement, and a love of sport. They are accompanied by music and a trophy is presented at the end to celebrate the feeling of accomplishment. 

Each session is run by a Coach supported by our Wellbeing and Care teams.
